Celtic dragonesque Brooch, c.1st-2nd century AD. A copper alloy zoomorphic -dragonesque' plate brooch complete with pin. The front of the body is recessed for a champleve enamel design with a central circular motif containing a quatrefoil of lozenges, flanked by curved panels. Each head has a turned-snout and and an ear with a prominent central ridge. The arched pin is complete, slightly flared above the point and loops around the neck of on dragon, the other neck forming the catch.
